2017 Off The Track Championship Winner - Excellingly
Sarah McMaster and her retired racehorse Excellingly are the 2016 Off The Track Show Series Champions. Ms McMaster, a Racing Victoria retrainer, and Excellingly claimed the coveted Championship title winning the $1000 prize money and the opportunity to represent Victoria in the National Finals later this year.
Excellingly is a 10yo Bay Gelding, son of stallion Exceed and Excel from Anniegetyourgun (USA) and claimed a total of $7,900 in prize money during his racing career.
With a 1.5point difference the Runner Up to the State Finalist was Catherine Neill on Crosswind (SLM Mercedes). Catherine receives the $500 prize money to add to her haul for the weekend. Catherine and SLM Mercedes also won Reserve Champion Large Open Saddle Hack with a $100 price tag.
The Newcomer Title, which is a horse that has retired from racing within the past 2 years, was awarded tothe Mullan Family with Sugar Bush (Pompeii).
